Investment Policy

Emmanuel  College, “How is the College Funded”

This document suggests that the college does invest in funds:

“As an endowed charity the College must hold endowment capital in perpetuity and the income which it generates must be used to fulfil the College’s purposes. Endowment capital is invested in global equities, commercial property, and cash. All are managed by professional external managers. We aim to follow good investment practice in the wider charity sector and, as a very long-term investor, we believe these real assets will provide us with inflation protection a consistent stream of income. As a long-term investor we also believe that any company in which we hold shares must be sustainable and our instruction to our investment managers is therefore to only invest in companies which have policies consistent with the achieving the targets set out in the Paris Climate Accord.”
