Dear Ben,
Thank you for your enquiry about the College’s investments. The College’s financial investments are almost entirely made via investment managers and funds.
(1) A list of companies which the College holds stocks and shares in, specifying how many shares are held and the approximate value of the shareholding.
The table below details the number of shares the College holds and their recorded value as of 31 December 2025. The shares in Marshall Group are non-voting preference shares.

Some of our financial investments are made through the Cambridge University Endowment Fund (CUEF) managed by University of Cambridge Investment Management (UCIM). We hold 696,477 units and the last publicly disclosed value, as of June 2025, is £49,749,352. More recent valuations are subject to a confidentiality agreement and exempt under Section 41 of the Freedom of Information Act. We do not hold information about the individual companies or funds invested in. You can find UCIM’s annual reviews on their website for more information.
We also make investments through our Legal & General Future World ESG Tilted & Optimised Developed Fossil Fuel Ex Index Fund (C). We hold 90,464,221.25 unitsand the value of our holdings was £66,907,338 as of 31 December 2025.As this is an index fund, we do not hold a list of the companies that it invests in. More information can be found on the LGIM website.
The table below details the College’s private equity funds and their recorded value as of 31 December 2025.

A Section 41 exemption under the Freedom of Information Act therefore applies. Information regarding companies invested in by Cambridge Innovation Capital (CIC) is publicly available on its websites.
(3) In the case of any indirectly held or fund-based investments, a breakdown of the companies invested in through each specific fund, including the percentage of the total fund made up by each holding.
In regard to indirect investments, in most cases the College does not hold information on companies invested in through funds. In relation to CIC, this information is exempt as noted above.
(4) A list of any other investments the college holds, including the approximate value of each.
The College also owns directly held investment property, nearly all of which is in the Greater Cambridge area. The latest valuation from June 2025 is £116,552,609.
